Aegina is the ideal destination for day trips as its almost an hour away from Athens. Definitely visit the ancient Greek temples of Aphaia and Paleohora ruins and certainly explore the surrounding coves and small bays that are perfect for swimming. 

Extra tips: Greatest opportunity to practice your sailing skills as due to its mild weather conditions and minor impact from waves making sailing totally upwind and refreshing!

Ideal for romantic strolls & gazing at the sunset

Agistri is the smallest island in the Saronic gulf and just 35km away from Athens. Full of azure coves and crystal clear waters Agistri along with Aegina are the closest island destinations to Athens. Ambient, quaint and definitely romantic, Agistri is ideal for romantic strolls and gazing at the sunset. 

Extra tips: Ideal destination for watersports and diving enthusiasts. Definitely visit the private island of Aponisos which is a grandiose sailing meeting point.

Poros is the prime example of a sailing attraction!

Relatively close to Athens it is full of lush vegetation, lovely coves with emerald waters and vibrant aesthetics at the main chora. Poros is also classified as a cultural heritage destination as you can find various ruins of Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman stronghold ruins.

A meeting spot for renowned artists, writers and actors of a somewhat forgotten era this island captures the picturesque as well as cosmopolitan vibes of Greece making it the perfect vacation destination for tranquility and artsy sailing enthusiasts. 

Extra tips: Free of cars, scooters. Just marble-cobbled pathways and full of donkeys, the island's trademark animal.

Close to the mainland Peloponnese Spetses is globally considered as the cosmopolitan center of the Saronic islands combining traditional architecture, vibrant nightlife, fine dining and glorious maritime history! Full of monuments and museums dedicated to the 19th century turmoil when Greece was struggling for independence such as the museum of Bouboulina, national hero and symbol of the Greek revolution.

Extra tips: Ideal for sailing. Popular spot for yachties. September is a great month to visit Spetses and enjoy the Armata festivies that take place there.
