This year's edition, took place from November 10th to 12th, featured a challenging 110-mile route from Vodice to the island of Jabuka and back. A record-breaking 120 yachts participated in this challenging race, and Istion seized the opportunity to be part of this exceptional regatta through the representation of Tonko Palinic and Branimir Made, both members of the Istion family, whom you can encounter at our base in Skradin, Croatia.
Kicking off at dawn from Vodice, the race set course for Jabuka, an uninhabited volcanic island open to strong winds and unpredictable currents. This regatta provided participants with the chance to push their boundaries and showcase their sailing skills. It stood out as an event that not only required strong navigation capabilities and high sailing expertise but also flawless teamwork among crew members.
Upon returning to Vodice, the reward ceremony followed by enthusiastic celebrations unfolded. The top spot in this year's Overall Standings belonged to Morska Vidra club, led by skipper Marjan Kocila and their vessel, Cleansport One. Yet, as it is always said about Jabuka Regatta due to its intesity and difficulty, "every participant is a winner." Our members not only successfully completed the race but also demonstrated their resilience and skill along with having a truly great time participating!
